About two years ago I was diagnosed as bipolar. This was a diagnosis that I was initially offended by. I had been diagnosed with depression and anxiety previously, but bipolar was in a different class. It was what I at the time considered a "crazy people" illness. I have since learned that this is not the case. Getting to a point of acceptance with this illness has been a long journey, but I am grateful for those who stood by me. Bipolar is not a death sentence, especially with medication. I am posting to offer support to anyone else in the Steemit community who deals with mental illness. Know that you are not alone and that I stand with you.
