Rokot Airport is a pioneering airport located in Rokot Village, Sipora District, Mentawai Islands, West Sumatra. Currently, only small-bodied aircraft can land at this airport with the Cassa type.
The airport was completed in 1980 with a runway size of 900 x 23 meters. However, the airport is now under threat due to abrasion. The length of the runway that was previously about 900 meters, now can only be used about 800 m only because the runway distance with the beach lips getting closer due to eroded abrasion, which is only about 25 meters.

In order to get to Rokot Airport, in addition to using the aircraft departing from Badara International Minangkabau (BIM) in Padang Pariaman District, we can also board the Fast (Mentawai Fast) from Muaro harbor, Padang or take the Ambu-ambu and Gambolo ships at the Bungus pier , Padang with the aim of Tuapeijat, North Sipora, Mentawai.
Arrive at Tuapeijat, we can find the nearest lodging and there, usually they (the innkeeper) provide motor rental, with the price of Rp100,000 to Rp150.000 one day.
Just follow the big road / trans Mentawai from zero kilometers, Tuapeijat or lodging, later we will arrive at Rokot Airport.
