Once an order has been placed, it will be matched with another order from the order book via an atomic swap, meaning that both parties will receive the assets they agreed to trade instantaneously and without any third party involved. If there is no matching order in the order book, the order will be placed as a limit order, meaning that it will only be matched when another user comes along and places an order that matches the criteria set by the original user.
Finally, users have the option of trading perpetual futures contracts on Metavault.Trade with up to 30x leverage. Perpetual futures contracts are similar to regular futures contracts, except that they do not have an expiration date – meaning that traders can hold them for as long as they want without having to worry about rollover fees or expiring contracts.
