Bored Ape Swings from the RFOX VALT Metaverse & Into the KOGs Ecosytem

The RFOX VALT metaverse aims to be as interoperable as possible.

Building a virtual world composed of interlocking business ventures requires tools allowing effortless communication between different types of technology.

Inside the VALT, we’ll see representation from RFOX ventures operating within the gaming, DeFi, and media industries, to name a few. On the gaming side, RFOX Games is hard at work preparing free to play but Play-to-Earn KOGs: SLAM! for open beta.

Although the game is nearing a public launch, collectors have been building sets of KOGs NFTs since the summer of 2020. KOGs are now in their 3rd edition, and through a promising program linked to the VALT, holding 2E and 3E NFTs is about to get even more rewarding.

You see, KOGs will become a prominent feature in the VALT. Picture NFT vending machines and floor-to-ceiling, VR-enabled display cases to get an idea.

Team RFOX carefully calculates business decisions, weighing the pros and cons of team benefits along with value-adds to token holders. And that sentiment applies across all ventures.

Holders of $RFOX and $VFOX have staking and farming opportunities on RFOX Finance. The site also has a burn mechanism that deflates $RFOX token’s supply every week.

KOGs holders are occasionally given the chance to stake qualifying sets in exchange for $RFOX rewards. But those events only apply to those possessing complete NFT collections. It’s also not an everyday occurrence.

However, in typical RFOX fashion, a new program wants to make KOGs NFTs deflationary assets. The KOGs Mint Lab is providing an effective solution:

“Once the KOGs Mint Lab launches, we will use 50% of the proceeds to buy back and burn 2nd and 3rd edition KOGs from the secondary market at predetermined intervals.”

Let’s talk about what that means, exactly. Let’s pretend you own a Bored Ape NFT (congrats if you don’t have to pretend!) and walk through the process:

  • Your NFT acts as a template for the creation of new NFTs, up to 5 per month
  • You can trade those NFTs, use them inside KOGs: SLAM!, or sell them on AtomicHub
  • RFOX Games collects ETH during the minting process, then uses it to buy and burn the cheapest 2E and 3E KOGs.

The scenario gives NFT owners the chance to create additional assets, while KOGs holders can enjoy deflation as well as higher floor prices.

The Play-to-Earn space is white-hot, especially within RFOX’s target market of Southeast Asia. Once KOGs: SLAM! is made public, its free status is sure to draw massive crowds.

And once those masses turn their attention towards KOGs the collectible NFTs, they’ll soon discover that supplies are already low in some instances.

For example, until (or if) another emerges from a pack, there are only 57 copies of a 2nd Edition ultra-rare “Super Soldier” KOG with a Neon border. That’s not counting the foil version, only 8 of which there are in existence.

You won’t find ultra-rare KOGs on the price floor, but the more common examples follow the same idea: there are far fewer KOGs than players and collectors.

The game’s 3rd Edition NFTs will be sold in-game. We can expect that supply to continuously increase. That said, the 2nd Edition has a very limited supply. As RFOX Games continue to sweep the floor, let’s speculate that 2E prices will one day go berzerk.

Happy trading out there — try to secure 2E KOGs while supplies last! If it just so happens that you are a KOGs collector and want to connect with fellow traders, RFOX Discord is the place for you.
