Metaverse has emerged as a new term in the IT industry since Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced plans to invest $10 billion to help create the Metaverse. Interestingly, this fiction-like idea comes from a science fiction book published in 1992. It reminds me of the internet where three decades ago, the internet also seemed like fiction to most people. This concept has already been incorporated into gaming platforms, although the potential for development is still vast and developers still have a long way to go to discover its full potential.
