RedFOX has been very careful to avoid their reward token from being classified as a security. That means you have to do something to get your payout.

Yes, there is! In addition to pools, RFOX Finance has a yield farm that allows you to stake LP tokens created by adding equal parts RFOX and VFOX as liquidity.
