His 1st Communion in MEXICO at a GORGEOUS CATHEDRAL!

Normally each Sunday we attend a different church as we RV across North America. It is SO fun to see all the varieties! Unless, we stay somewhere for a few weeks, then we go to the same church during that time.

This was going to be a very SPECIAL Sunday for a few reasons…

-It was Easter (4/1/18)
-We were in Mazatlan Mexico
-We are at a GORGEOUS Basilica Cathedral of the Immaculate Heart of Conception
-My son was going to be receiving his 1st Communion!

We ended up doing a online course for kids with Dynamic Catholic that was free and so well done! He was ready. He truly understands the meaning of the sacrament. So, it was nothing formal, just formal in his heart. We made our way to the mainland of Mazatlan, attended the mass and made an instant memory that will last forever.

Afterwards, we left and there were a couple of religious stands selling a variety of items. We bought him a beautiful wooden cross to remember his big day!

I love how Jason (Dad) made it even more special as he put the Cross on His son…a bonding time we will NEVER forget!

We decided to grab a cake to celebrate and lo and behold, there was a tasty Panama Cake Shop on the other corner!

It’s moments like this that we hold close to our hearts. Nothing overrated, not a lot of people, just a personal bond between our Son and the Son of God!
