Croatia became the group champion and made it through the round of 16. There they faced Denmark. They were able to beat Denmark in penalties. Then they faced Russia in the Quarter Finals. They were also able to beat Russia. In all of the matches Modric, Rackitic, Mandzukic, Perisic played like a beast. Especially Luka Modric and Ivan Rackitic. The Barca man and the Madridista. This World Cup will remember them. Modric is flying very high as the team captain. Massive respect to him. In the Semi- Final, they faced England. A very hard and strong opponent. England scored an outstanding Free-Kick goal in 5 minutes which was taken by Trippier. Till the halftime, the score remained 1-0. Then at 68 minutes, Perisic scored an awesome header and the score became 1-1. A brilliant equalizer by him. The match rolled into extra time. in 109 minute, Mandzukic also scored a brilliant goal. With the efforts of these magicians, Croatia is now in the finals of the World Cup.
A little reminder for you guys: Modric was mocked as a kid that he was too small to play Football. He was voted as the worst signing of Real Madrid. Now he is taking his national team to the World Cup finals. He is admitted as one of the best midfielders ever. A massive comeback! Give respect to this guy!
