What Michelle Lujan Grisham has done, if you watch the whole announcement, and include the the Q@As, she's flailing to make it make sense.
She said, that we should consider addressing a person with a CCW simply carrying in public because he's carrying.
She's justifying this because there are too many people to arrest -- presumably too many murderers and rapists and thieves -- to keep up with. And her best idea is to draw police attention to people who have harmed nobody.
She admitted that she didn't expect that any gang member or criminal would put down their guns. Still, she insists that it sends a message to people to report crimes.
How? In what way? Aren't people simply more likely to call the cops on a guy on a way to the range or a hunting trip than a thug carrying a pistol in his waistband on his way to holdup a liquor store?
The bright side is that Michelle Lujan Grisham has finally gone so fucking nuts that even some Democrats are pushing back on this.
