Have You Ever Wanted To Visit the State of Michigan? Well Here Are Some Pictures and Some Facts

I'm not sure how I got here in the state of Michigan this summer in the first place. But, I was chatting with a friend of mine for about two years almost everyday. We became pretty close online. He is about twenty years older than me and we clicked. We just couldn't stay away from each other as far as friendships are concerned. I was having a hard time with things, lots of personal stuff going on. I was really fed up. I needed a change. Things seemed to be better where he was. I wanted to travel some, as I have not been very far from m home state.

I certainly hadn't travelled by pane alone anywhere by myself. Maybe that was the challenge moreso than the actual visit to my friend, I'm not sure. But both was rather risky for me. The plane trip went fine, it was actually getting onto the plane that was more stressful for me than anything else. The plane arrived earlier than expected in fact and all of the people on the plane were lovely. The pilot was extra pleasant in a great mood and the stewardesses very very accommodating. United airlines is not the bad airline you would hear about on the news for awhile. I just had to take the chance in going to my friend's.

I took many other photos but these will be the most recent ones, with more to follow. I still haven't gotten any photos of the actual farmlands or the countrysides. I would have to get out of the car and stop for that on the sides of the road and you just don't see people doing that here unfortunately. I would love to if I got the chance, it is beautiful here. I am living in some rural-like town with lots of land on it, more than I have ever lived before however temporary.

I plan to go back to Jersey sometime before Halloween, the prices of flights will be cheapest then and I don't have a lot of bucks to spend. I do need to spend some time again to think and figure out where exactly I want to be, maybe the trip back home again will give me some insight and compare places, or maybe I will just find some other place to try out. You just never know. But for now here are some of the pictures I took. I have others that were posted on Instagram that were saved there only but these are somewhat cool too.

Grapes. I don't know why no one is eating them here, but I know I can't. My doctor says no grapes for me, but don't they look yummy! They grow on vines here, and so far the insects are getting to them sadly or they are falling off onto the ground to go to waste. It's sad that someone just doesn't grab them up to make wine at least. LOL

Mushrooms that grow on trees. Well don't they all grow on some sort of bark? I think so, but haven't actually tried growing them. I would love to on purpose and get them on the cheap. This one was growing on one of the trees and ground area near it too. I have no idea what kind it is and no idea if it's even edible. I'm not going to try it out to see, some of them are poisonous. This one was not familair to me at all.

Poor dead birdie. I hate to post any kind of dead thing, but it isn't roadkill. It is probably a sand crane of some sort that fell from the nest in a tree and couldn't get up. Then it was run over by a tractor, sadly enough. I hate to see the poor thing on the ground like this. It's brother or sister was in the tree too at one point and survived, the cat on the ground posing for it to fall and get in her grasp. But alas! That one got away. Not so much this one, RIP

So far my visit has been interesting. There have been some ups and downs. I miss my family back in Jersey a lot so there is that, which was somewhat expected. Things are good here in some ways but not in others, but vice versa too. Not too far away are a lot of great stores and in town we have Walmart, Meijer's, Aldi, and much more to shop in if the need arises. Lots of places to eat around here.

I have never been to a McDonald's more than I have in some summer like I have this year. I have seen lots of horses, cows, and crops of all kinds being grown in fields like corn, soybeans, asparagus, and much more. Lots of farm equiptment large and small to be seen. The barns can be old and abandoned but lots of the time they are still usable. Lots of greenery everywhere right now. I guess that will change once Fall kicks in for real.

Five things I love about this state and town after coming here~

  1. The people are friendlier than where I come from
  2. Lots of land
  3. Different birds
  4. Lots of stores in town
  5. Being able to put two fans on at once anytime of the day or night

Photos are mine and taken by me.

If given a chance, yes. I would love to. Thank you for sharing some information regarding this state. :)

it seems such an interesting place. thanks for the great pictures dear

Would love to go there. Looks country! And.....grapes, baby!!!

Grapes are good. I wonder why no one seems to like them. I'd pick it and eat it right away if I was there

Grapes is an expensive fruit. Since that was a native fruit they probably satiated and sick of eating that fruit. Why not export it and make some bucks.

I am worried about the baby bird, is that still alive?

Can I go there? Take me there..
