Today's Weed News for October 4th 2018 #CANNALCOHOL

For today's weed news we go to the great state of Michigan.

The Michigan House of Representatives voted 101 to 4 yesterday (Wednesday) in in favor of House Bill 4668 which seeks to outlaw any alcoholic beverages infused with cannabis.

Specifically, the bill states that: "A person shall not use or offer to use, possess, sell, or offer for sale marijuana-infused beer, wine, mixed wine drink, mixed spirit drink, or spirits. A person that violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor."

House Bill 4668 will now head to Governor Rick Snyder's desk. His signature is all that is needed before it officially becomes law and goes into effect.

This week's vote came just weeks before Michigananders go to the polls to vote for legal recreational weed in November.

And although most polls suggest that around 56-60% of the state supports legalizing cannabis, insiders are warning that it is much too early to celebrate.

So if you live in Michigan and believe in cannabis, make sure you plan ahead and support the movement by casting your vote this November. It's people like you, the action takers, who make the difference in the end. It's not going to happen by itself.

But either way, if you do legalize weed next month or not, you still will not be allowed to buy or possess any alcoholic beverages that contain THC. You're just going to have to make them yourself and drink them real quick.
