#turbotale - Emptiness

in microfiction •  6 years ago

They stand in the empty room. Everything was gone, there was nothing left over for sale.

'It is a good thing we don't have kids', he said. 'What if we had the 3 we hoped for...'

She looked at him for a long time. She scared him.

Finally she said: 'Yes, it is indeed.'
It was the first time she agreed with him. There was nothing left. Nothing to give, hope nor to love.
As she left the house she didn't close the door behind her. After all these years she left with even less as she once started with.

Thank you.

It happens too often ... relationships can take so much away from us and leave us with less ... it’s so sad .

It is sad indeed

Very nice, @wakeupkitty. It's a sad story, but nicely told. I can see them in that moment.

Thanks for reading and your comment.

Yes, she left with less than she started with. Sad. I was wondering why she scared him?

I guess she alway wanted children, he didn't. He was busy with... (working)?
She gave too much in?
