Thinking deeply about the circumstances surrounding the drone ant, I realized that it takes courage for him to accept his fate. I've learned a valuable lesson here: there's a particular role I've been scared of taking for some years now because I feel I'm limited, that I can't carry it out responsibly. Well, today, I've learned to acknowledge my roles, even in the face of fear, because it can lead to a meaningful existence. Embracing our purpose enables us to find strength and courage.

The story was initially a letter from a second-person to encourage the first-person (the drone ant) to be courageous and face reality. He knew the drone ant's plight and was even related to it; he helped the ant realize its importance to the colony. So I developed my story from here, stating the protagonist as a drone ant and how his meditation on his friend's words imparted courage in him to take the bold steps to face reality.

I focused on preserving the emotional feelings of the drone ant; in the first paragraph, I stated that the drone ant was "gripped with fear of death." In the second paragraph, I highlighted his importance in the colony.

At first, I made it look like the ant will not be able to face the reality. I didn't mention that the drone ant was brave 😎 hahaha until the end when we learn that he left a lasting legacy for us to mimic.
