Reflexión sobre el taller: “Escribir en tamaño micro”

➡️ ¿Qué aspectos de la escritura de ficción me resultaron desafiantes al inicio del taller? Y, ¿De qué manera los superé?

  Aunque al inicio estaba consciente de que el taller estaría centrado en la escritura "Micro", definitivamente al momento de redactar mi primera historia me di cuenta de que no estaba clara en lo que realmente significa escribir concisamente, por lo tanto, esta particularidad fue lo más desafiante.

  Entre mis propósitos para realizar este taller estuvo salir de mi zona de confort al momento de escribir. Por ello, cuando noté que mi desafío iba a ser la condensación, me dediqué a investigar técnicas para lograr ese estilo de escritura, además de tomar en cuenta las recomendaciones impartidas por los profesores y compañeros.

  Gracias a la investigación y sugerencias de las personas que comentaron mis publicaciones, fui liberándome de esa incomodidad que me generaba la cantidad de palabras que debía utilizar y, a pesar de saber que aún me falta mucho por mejorar; durante la semana N.°5 noté que la concisión ya no era un desafío para mí y, darme cuenta de esto fue muy motivador porque sentí que el objetivo había sido concretado.

➡️ ¿Qué nuevos conocimientos técnicos o herramientas aprendí durante el taller que pude aplicar en mis historias?

  En vista de que el taller consistía en la concisión, noté que incluso en las instrucciones que impartían los profesores al momento de asignar la actividad estaba presente esa particularidad. Por ello, este taller me obsequió el conocimiento de aprender a leer entre líneas las pautas que no necesitan ser expresadas con tantas palabras para orientarnos a hacer una actividad.

  De igual manera, me di la tarea de evaluar cómo puedo aplicar el recurso literario del doble sentido o la ambigüedad en mis relatos, porque anteriormente pensaba que esa herramienta le restaba interés o seriedad a los relatos, pero ahora me doy cuenta de que al no darle la oportunidad de investigar profundamente sobre su uso, me hizo tener un pensamiento errado.

➡️ ¿Cómo ha evolucionado mi motivación para escribir y mi estilo de escritura a lo largo del taller?

  La escritura es un arte que disfruto mucho; para mí ha sido una manera extraordinaria de conectar con la esencia de la vida y, por supuesto, mis emociones. Sin embargo, durante el desarrollo del taller noté que esa pasión aumentó progresivamente y, en gran medida, influyó la motivación expresada por los profesores y compañeros que comentaron mis publicaciones.

  Gracias a ese incentivo les confieso que, me agradó notar que mi estilo de escritura no se enfocaba en el tono noticioso y, este cambio me ha permitido aventurarme a participar en dinámicas que estén relacionadas con la escritura creativa acotando que, anteriormente no lo hacía frecuentemente porque sentía que mis historias tenían tonalidad informativa y no literaria.

  Sin duda, este taller ha sido un gran maestro para mí al mostrarme que sí puedo tener un estilo de escritura literario. Sigo siendo consciente de que aún me falta por mejorar, pero dar este primer paso para mí es muy importante y seguiré creando historias donde pueda aplicar lo que aquí aprendí.

➡️ ¿Qué aspectos del curso me resultaron más útiles y por qué?

  Cada aspecto que aplicamos en el taller tuvo la utilidad perfecta para lograr crear las historias adecuadas y, aunque me desagrada la idea de solo resaltar una, quiero dejar presente que para mí todas fueron de gran utilidad. Sin embargo, admito que la concisión logró un enfoque más resaltante al momento de escribir.

  Ahora bien, el motivo que consagró a la concisión como la más útil se debe a que no estaba adaptada a escribir de una manera tan condensada y, comenzar a crear historias en este formato me llevó a reflexionar en la evolución que tiene la estructura porque a veces creemos que escribir más, es sinónimo de que todo va a quedar claro; cuando no siempre es así, ya que la escritura extensa a veces confunde más.

  Este taller me permitió comprender el valor que tiene la frase "Menos es más" y si realmente quiero desarrollar una historia memorable, solo debo ordenar muy bien mis ideas para escribirlo en dos o tres palabras si así lo requiere la narración.

➡️ ¿Qué aspectos del curso creo que se podrían mejorar? (Sugerencias para futuras ediciones)

  El taller contó con una excelente guía práctica para el desarrollo de nuestras tareas y, en lo personal, eso me encantó porque el 75 % de mis historias logré desarrollarlas estudiando los ejemplos que el profesor plasmó, ya que, como lo he mencionado, no había profundizado en la microescritura.

  Sin embargo, considero que esta guía estuvo deficiente en cuanto al énfasis de este material se refiere; tal vez esto influyó en que estaban en enlaces y la acotación estaba en un ítem diferente al de las reglas por lo que pudo ocasionar que algunos participantes no leyeron este apartado y, al no acceder a esa información, sentían que no tenían la explicación detallada de cómo crear las historias.

➡️ Evaluar a los docentes (Retroalimentación constructiva)

  La postura estricta de los profesores me sorprendió y fascinó muchísimo, porque desde la etapa del colegio aprendí que de la exigencia, se obtiene la excelencia. Los dos, de manera respetuosa, fueron rígidos en su evaluación, pero no era una rigidez para hacernos sentir mal; sino para impulsarnos a dar lo mejor de nosotros y eso se los aplaudo de pie porque pienso que esa acción forma parte del rol docente.

  Fue encantador la nobleza que ambos tuvieron al comprender que nuestras historias no iban a ser perfectas y, aplicando la pedagogía adecuada, nos hicieron comprender que lo importante no era obtener un 10 de calificación o estar en el ranking de la semana, ya que el mayor mérito estaba en que nos atrevimos a crear narrativas y el conocimiento que tuvimos, era el verdadero 10.

  Para los docentes, siempre tendré agradecimiento porque el conocimiento y la motivación que recibí por parte de ellos durante el desarrollo de este taller, me llevaron a tener otra percepción sobre la escritura y esta experiencia, sin duda alguna, forma parte de mis favoritas.

Viajando con creatividad

  El tren de la escritura despegó hace seis semanas. Incertidumbre y desafío eran las palabras que más sonaban en mi interior, pero dispuesta a conocer el mundo de la microescritura, me sumergí en este viaje que se perfilaba a ser el mejor.

  Entre estación y estación avanzó el tiempo. Lo que comenzó siendo desconocido, se transformó en imaginación porque al llegar las herramientas literarias sentí que la cantidad de palabras se había quedado en la segunda estación y, gracias a ese abandono, mi creatividad estalló.

  Viajar con creatividad me enseñó que ni siquiera las palabras son límites para la imaginación y, si me dan la opción de abordar nuevamente este tren, subiría sin pensarlo mucho porque en seis semanas, este viaje logró mostrarme la magia y sabiduría que hay en la literatura.

Reflection on my workshop experience

➡️ What aspects of fiction writing did I find challenging at the beginning of the workshop? And, in what ways did I overcome them?

  Although at the beginning I was aware that the workshop would be focused on "Micro" writing, definitely at the time of writing my first story I realized that I was not clear on what it really means to write concisely, therefore, this particularity was the most challenging.

  One of my goals for this workshop was to get out of my comfort zone when writing. Therefore, when I realized that my challenge was going to be condensation, I dedicated myself to researching techniques to achieve that style of writing, in addition to taking into account the recommendations given by teachers and classmates.

  Thanks to the research and suggestions of the people who commented on my publications, I was freeing myself from the discomfort generated by the amount of words I had to use and, despite knowing that I still have a lot to improve; during week No. 5 I noticed that conciseness was no longer a challenge for me and, realizing this was very motivating because I felt that the goal had been achieved.

➡️ What new technical skills or tools did I learn during the workshop that I could apply in my stories?

  Since the workshop consisted of conciseness, I noticed that even in the instructions given by the teachers at the time of assigning the activity, this particularity was present. Therefore, this workshop gave me the knowledge to learn to read between the lines of the guidelines that do not need to be expressed in so many words to guide us to do an activity.

  Similarly, I gave myself the task of evaluating how I can apply the literary resource of double meaning or ambiguity in my stories, because previously I thought that this tool detracted interest or seriousness to the stories, but now I realize that by not giving the opportunity to investigate deeply about its use, it made me have a wrong thought.

➡️ How has my motivation to write and my writing style evolved over the course of the workshop?

  Writing is an art that I enjoy very much; for me it has been an extraordinary way to connect with the essence of life and, of course, my emotions. However, during the development of the workshop I noticed that this passion increased progressively and, to a great extent, it was influenced by the motivation expressed by the teachers and classmates who commented on my publications.

  Thanks to this incentive, I confess that I was pleased to notice that my writing style was not focused on the news tone and this change has allowed me to venture to participate in dynamics related to creative writing, noting that previously I did not do it often because I felt that my stories had an informative and not literary tone.

  Without a doubt, this workshop has been a great teacher for me by showing me that I can indeed have a literary writing style. I am still aware that I still need to improve, but taking this first step is very important to me and I will continue to create stories where I can apply what I learned here.

➡️ What aspects of the course were most useful to me and why?

  Each aspect that we applied in the workshop was perfectly useful to create the right stories and, although I dislike the idea of only highlighting one, I want to point out that for me they were all very useful. However, I admit that the conciseness achieved a more outstanding approach at the time of writing.

  Now, the reason that consecrated conciseness as the most useful is because I was not adapted to write in such a condensed way and, starting to create stories in this format led me to reflect on the evolution of the structure because sometimes we believe that writing more is synonymous that everything will be clear; when it is not always so, since extensive writing sometimes confuses more.

  This workshop allowed me to understand the value of the phrase "Less is more" and if I really want to develop a memorable story, I just have to organize my ideas very well to write it in two or three words if the narrative requires it.

➡️ What aspects of the course could be improved? (Suggestions for future editions)

  The workshop had an excellent practical guide for the development of our tasks and, personally, I loved it because I managed to develop 75% of my stories by studying the examples that the teacher gave, since, as I have mentioned, I had not deepened in micro-writing.

  However, I consider that this guide was deficient as far as the emphasis of this material is concerned; perhaps this was influenced by the fact that they were in links and the annotation was in a different item than the rules, which could have caused some participants not to read this section and, not having access to this information, they felt they did not have the detailed explanation of how to create the stories.

➡️ Evaluating teachers (Constructive feedback)

  The strict posture of the professors surprised and fascinated me very much, because since my school days I learned that from the exigency, excellence is obtained. Both of them, in a respectful way, were rigid in their evaluation, but it was not a rigidity to make us feel bad; but to encourage us to give the best of us and I applaud them because I think that this action is part of the teaching role.

  It was charming the nobility that both had to understand that our stories were not going to be perfect and, applying the right pedagogy, they made us understand that the important thing was not to get a 10 grade or be in the ranking of the week, since the greatest merit was that we dared to create narratives and the knowledge we had, was the real 10.

  For the teachers, I will always be grateful because the knowledge and motivation I received from them during the development of this workshop, led me to have another perception about writing and this experience, without a doubt, is part of my favorites.

Traveling with creativity

  The writing train took off six weeks ago. Uncertainty and challenge were the words that sounded the most inside me, but willing to get to know the world of microwriting, I plunged into this journey that was shaping up to be the best.

  Between stations, time went by. What started out as unknown, turned into imagination because when the literary tools arrived I felt that the amount of words had remained in the second station and, thanks to that abandonment, my creativity exploded.

  Traveling with creativity taught me that not even words are limits for the imagination and, if given the option to board this train again, I would get on without much thought because in six weeks, this trip managed to show me the magic and wisdom there is in literature.
