Been a Long Time...

in midterms •  6 years ago

So it has been a little while since I've posted, and as I look around, I have this sense that...

I do have some content that I have been meaning to post, but it has been a rather rough month. Midterms seem to last FOREVER here, and while that is really great in terms of spacing - no more than one massive exam a day - it drags them out. It isn't like final exams, where the whole of the place shuts down and everyone focuses on two things: prayer and exams. Rather, we tend to go on with life as per usual around here, which makes for an interesting mix of the insanity (exam time) and the on-the-go constancy of daily life around the seminary.

I realized how badly I had been lagging in my posting here when @blewitt had a ton of posts and asked for some resteems, and @reeseshara asked me for some technical advice. I popped on for a brief moment, and someone must have been cutting onions around me, because there was a brief swelling of tears as I realized that (1) I missed writing and longed to partake in blogging again, and (2) I really was an adult, as I was putting my "job" of being a student well before any other thing in my life. The only thing that really broke me from my revelry of prayer, study, reading, prayer, study, study, study, oh yeah I need to eat, prayer, intense prayer before an exam, more study, and prayer of gratitude for having survived the bloodbath of midterms was that I would occasionally see the emails from Conquest Comics, and it was a reminder that time had actually progressed.

But I'm back, getting ready to write some new material, complete with some screenshots and pics, which will hopefully help bring my stress level down to something more manageable.

But for now, here is a view of the Immaculate Conception Chapel at the seminary from the perspective of the principle celebrant:

At least I can find a bit of peace and comfort here!

Well this platform is a better place with you a part of it. We need honest, intelligent, and interesting pieces and you deliver my friend. Thanks for resteeming my post. I was trying to win a ticket and I was hoping for a ton of exposure but alas...it wasn't meant to be and I believe the winners who took how the prize are well deserving as well. Thanks for your help though anyway brother. Looking forward to seeing what ya post in the coming days!

Thanks, my brother! I was hoping that you would win, as well - it would've been awesome to see your posts from across the pond! Alas, indeed... But it is darn good to be back in the game! I've got some IT nerd stuff on the horizon, just looking to map it out with some human terms instead of tons of technical jargon!
