It's nearly midnight, but 3 years ago today, I joined an up-and-coming blockchain-based blog platform called Steemit. I wrote about assorted things, mostly as an experiment as I learned blogging. I met some nice folks, introduced a couple other writers to the system, and here we are.

I will continue to write. Sometimes there will be typos and other mistakes, especially when I use my phone. Topics will change according to my whims. I don't plan on going anywhere. I have learned a lot, and always strive to create something original when I post, or attribute where appropriate when I use someone else's content.

I am pleased to say my time here has thus far been a success by the standards of my initial expectations. I am a better blogger than I was back then. I earned enough crypto for a new desktop computer. Oh, and as for my Steem Power...
Where will we be next year? What will you do to help make Steemit great again? Prices have gone up and down. Scammers and people trying to game the system have shifted their tactics in response to the various changes that have occurred. We've been forked, beta-tested, and now allegedly in full swing as a proper website. Time will tell whether the experiment will succeed or fizzle. Meanwhile, I write, whether anyone reads or not.
Have you been the kind of blogger that has posted consistently throughout your time here? Not sure where steemit is headed, but I have noticed that while people will dabble at other places, they still come back to steemit. Or maybe I’m just imagining it?
I don’t see myself going anywhere else anytime soon. I started here and I enjoy it.

I've had a few slumps in online activity, but I have been fairly consistent here.
