Florida To Reestablish The Florida State Guard?

in military •  3 years ago

Ron DeSantis has officially announced that he is seeking to reestablish the Florida State Guard, a Floridian voluntary civilian militia, that will protect the great nation of Florida and the great country of America.

Is there a real purpose for this? As of yet, there is no major need for the Florida State Guard but it will serve as a great alternative than relying on the Floridian National Guard which is reliant on federal tax dollars. This may be at a greater cost to Floridian's, however, it will help ensure our sovereignty as the freest state in the Union against any foreign threats.

The commander-in-chief of this military agency will be the Governor of the State of Florida if this organization is reestablished. The Florida State Guard was active during World War II and was disbanded as the need for a State-run militia was unneeded at the time. Ron DeSantis has been pushing for this to help protect Florida veterans and active military servicemen from any unnecessary and unconstitutional dictates from the Federal Government.

Ron DeSantis is many things. A weak governor he is not.
