Let's rotate the time back to the World War II, Legend has it that in a peculiar case of A Maverick British army officer was brought to the notice of Field Marshal Bernard Montgomery during the World War II, called famously as Monty. He saw the file and smiled, "mad quite mad” he said.

David Sterling was known as to be mad, quite mad. He came with an idea of a small group of men, vehicle mounted drived into the desert, who can shooting up German aircraft, while they were parked in the field. The idea were less while the World War II was raging. Claude Auchinleck, then commander in chief of the British forces blessed this mad enterprise, a small unit was born. They created really hell of the Germans. Sterling seemed driving the jeep in the airfields and shoot down as much as aircraft as he and his men possibly could and then vanished from there. On a worm July night of 1942, his team destroyed 37 aircraft all in one night, driving 18 jeeps to the Sidi Haneish airstrip in Egypt. Erwin Rommel fox call him “The Phantom Major, The Legend crew” name given by Erwin Rommel to David Sterling. David Sterling is known as the father of the elite SAS (SPECIAL AIR SERVICE) or the special air force and the SAS (SPECIAL AIR SERVICE) is known as the father of modern Special Forces. People throwback names like seal team and Delta Force as the top and best, but not many really relized that in many ways when it is about good killing, there is still no one better than the SAS (SPECIAL AIR SERVICE).
I am going to speak about a very special topic, something that is regularly discussed in social media, something that is spoken about people have the regimental insignia in their own DP and people love to talk about them. Yes, I am talking about Indian Army's Elite Para Special Forces. How do they come into being? What was the theory? What is the logic behind having Special Forces battalion Indian Army and where do they stand today?
