Why Bragg?

Can someone explain to me in very small words why conservatives want to rename US military bases after traitors who fought against the United States during the brief, ugly life of the CSA?

Braxton Bragg is primarily known for killing or wounding 10,000 United States servicemen at Chicamauga... then going on to (thankfully) a long string of defeats at the hands of the United States Army.

Why are conservatives so eager to celebrate a losing general who was widely regarded as a coward, a traitor to the United States, and who's primary claim to fame is killing US soldiers in order to preserve the institution of chattel slavery?
