When we talk about millennials, we are talking about the people who were born 1994 and after. They are the people who gets a lot of information about the world, about the things around us, and etc. With the help of technologies, in an instant we will already know the answer to our questions. But millennial generation became entitled as self-interested, lazy, tough to manage, narcissistic, unfocused, and not contented.
Why Millennials are being entitled with those bad things?, Why Millennials are struggling in the Workforce? According to **Simon Sinek (After Skol)** it has four characteristics.
**•PARENTING-** most of the millennials has parents that are fail to do their tasks. They will tell you that you are special, that you can get whatever you want
, and that in everything you do you are good. Millenials has A+ in their class because parents are keep on complaining when their child got low grades, millennials can sometimes be an honor student because teachers doesnt have any other choice because parents might complain. In short, millennials grow in a low self-esteem.
**•TECHNOLOGY-** Millennials were good at showing people that life is amazing but in the reality, they were so depressed. Technology will never be removed in a millennial life. Engaging with social media and cellphones realeases a chemical called DOPAMINE, thats why when you get a text, even just a "Hi", you will feel good, especially when the text came from your crush. Dopamine is the exact same chemical tthat makes a person feels good when they smoke, drink, or gamble, in other words, it is highly Addictive.
**•IMPATIENT-** Millennials nowadays has many desires in their life that they are just really eager to have that. If they want that, they can get that, if they want to watch movies then they can watch movies in their phones. When millennials want to have relationships they dont have to say "No" or "Yes" , all they have to do is just to swipe left(dating apps) INSTANT!
**•ENVIRONMENT-** People are putting millennials in corporate environments that aren't helping to boost their confidence or has nothing to do with their skills.
Thats why we millennials need enlightenment. Because in todays generations their is a LACK OF GOOD LEADERSHIP, we need to rise up as leaders of leaders because the environment is hindering us, we are blinded by people who keeps on pulling us so that we will not reach the top.
There are some cases where millennials are having a suicide, injecting drugs, has been drop in their schools because of depression and we dont want that, we need millennials who doesnt have that kind of mindset and we need millennials that will create an Impact to other millennials. Thats why keep on aiming your goals and always do things for the betterment not just for yourself but for the whole society.I would like to thank @surpassinggoogle for inspiring young people to really strive and do what is right for ourselves.
