Kaki seribu memiliki dua pasang kaki persegmenya sebenarnya dia hanya memiliki sekitar 400 kaki,kebanyakan hewan ini herbivora atau pemakan tumbuhan seperti memakan tanaman yang sudah mati dan tanaman organik lainya,namun ada juga jenis karnivora atau pemakan daging dia memiliki rahang pengisap
