How to change mind

in mind •  7 years ago

Brain plasticity is critical to our ability to change and form new habits. It is probably the single most important reason that has allowed our progress as a species, and is the idea that whatever experiences or practice you provide your brain with, it will adapt to by forming new and strengthening old neuroconnections.

3 Key Points:

  1. You can rewire your brain on a physiological level to think or behave the way you want to.
  2. The more often you use a certain “highway” of thinking or acting, the more automatic and easier it becomes to use it again.
  3. Building new neuroconnections and habits is like the start of a space shuttle: Slow and exhausting in the beginning, but it gets quicker and easier the longer you stick with it.
