“The LORD said to Moses, “Get going, you and the people you brought up from the land of Egypt. Go up to the land I swore to give to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. I TOLD THEM, ‘I WILL GIVE THIS LAND TO YOUR DESCENDANTS'.”
Exodus 33:1 (NLT)

• If God has promised to do a thing for you, He will not change His mind on it, except you failed to cooperate with Him—If you do not abide by the terms and conditions attached to the promise (1 Samuel 2:27-30).

  • God is reliable and dependable, He is not a man that should lie.

“God is not a man, SO HE DOES NOT LIE. HE IS NOT HUMAN, SO HE DOES NOT CHANGE HIS MIND. Has He ever spoken and failed to act? HAS HE EVER PROMISED AND NOT CARRIED IT THROUGH?”
Numbers 23:19 (NLT)

  • God did promise to give the land of Canaan to the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and He brought the promise to the fulfilment, after hundreds of years (Joshua 21:43-45).

• God is a covenant keeping God, He will never let you down.

  • The fulfilment of the promise came when those whom He made the promise were no longer on earth—this shows the faithfulness of God.
  • Even when you, whom He has promised has forgotten, He would not forget; He would carry it through at the appropriate time, He never comes late.

• God usually adds conditions to whatever He promises to do.
THE fulfilment of whatever He has promised depends on how the recipient or beneficiary of the promise handles the conditions—if the person faithfully obeys the conditions of the promise.

  • God has the record of your deeds, your past faithfulness—how you fared with what was committed to your hands.

"FOR GOD IS NOT UNJUST TO FORGET YOUR WORK AND LABOUR OF LOVE WHICH YOU HAVE SHOWN TOWARDS HIS NAME, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister."
Hebrews 6:10 (NKJV)

  • If you are faithful in your walk with God, and in what He committed to your hands: what you do would bring a blessing to you and your descendants.
  • Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob were faithful in their walk with God, and He brought what He did promise them, to give their descendants, to fulfilment.
  1. “SO THE LORD GAVE TO ISRAEL ALL THE LAND OF WHICH HE HAD SWORN TO GIVE TO THEIR FATHERS, and they took possession of it and dwelt in it.
  2. THE LORD GAVE THEM REST ALL AROUND, ACCORDING TO ALL THAT HE HAD SWORN TO THEIR FATHERS. And not a man of all their enemies stood against them; the LORD delivered all their enemies into their hand.
  3. NOT A WORD FAILED OF ANY GOOD THING WHICH THE LORD HAD SPOKEN TO THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL. ALL CAME TO PASS.”
    Joshua 21:43-45 (NKJV)
  • Let your life count for God.
IF He has promised, decided in His mind, to bless you, do something for you; He would not change it, except you aborted the plan by yourself (1 Samuel 2:30).
  • What God has said to do, for you, your descendants, will surely come to fulfilment.

• Take note:

  • If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, do not gratify the flesh—put off the former conducts and walk in the newness of life (Romans 8:12,13; 13:14).
  • Be serious with your Christian faith, that is, your WALK or relationship with God.
  1. “The night is far spent; the day is at hand. THEREFORE LET US CAST OFF THE WORKS OF DARKNESS, and let us put on the armour of light.
  2. LET US WALK PROPERLY, AS IN THE DAY, NOT IN REVELRY AND DRUNKENNESS, NOT IN LEWDNESS AND LUST, NOT IN STRIFE AND ENVY.”
    Romans 13:12-14 (NKJV)
  • Be faithful in whatever assignment given to you by God (Colossians 4:17).
  • Let the Word of God be number one in your life: read it, study it, ponder on it, and practice it; do it, for God blesses the doers of the Word (James 1:25).
  • Pray often, always be in the attitude of prayer; especially prayer in the language of the Spirit—praying in tongues (Ephesians 6:18).
YOU can be doing your work or whatever you are doing and be praying in the Spirit, without disturbing anyone.
THE Bible says you are edifying yourself as you do this (1 Corinthians 14:2,4).

• God will not change His mind if He has promised to do one thing or another for you, if you keep to His Word—the instructions given to you specifically as an individual and the written Word, the Bible (1 Kings 3:14; 6:11-13).

"SO IF YOU WALK IN MY WAYS, TO KEEP MY STATUTES AND MY COMMANDMENTS, as your father David walked, then I will lengthen [prolong] your days."
1 Kings 3:14 (NKJV)

  1. “Then the word of the LORD came to Solomon, saying:
  2. "Concerning this temple which you are building, IF YOU WALK IN MY STATUTES, EXECUTE MY JUDGEMENTS, AND WALK IN THEM, THEN I WILL PERFORM MY WORD [promise] WITH YOU, WHICH I SPOKE TO YOUR FATHER DAVID.
  3. "I will dwell among the children of Israel, and will not forsake My people, Israel."
    1 Kings 6:11-13 (NKJV)
  • God is unchangeable, constant, consistent, and reliable: “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever” (Hebrews 13:8).
  • God changes THINGS, but He Himself does not change, His Word is Yes and Amen (2 Corinthians 1:20; Hebrews 1:10-12).
  1. “And: “You, LORD, in the beginning laid the foundation of the earth, And the heavens are the work of Your hands.
  2. They will perish, BUT YOU REMAIN; And they will all grow old like a garment.
  3. Like a cloak You will fold them up, And they will be changed. BUT YOU ARE THE SAME, AND YOUR YEARS WILL NOT FAIL.”
    Hebrews 1:10-12 (NKJV)

• He dwells in the light, there is no darkness in Him at all (Psalm 104:2).

  • You can depend on Him; He will not let you down.
HE cannot mismanage your life and destiny.
TRUST Him enough to rely and act on His Word.

• You will not fail in Jesus’ name!
Peace!
