Whoever being depraved (morally corrupt), devoid of self-control and truthfulness, should give up the monk's yellow robe, s/he surely is not worthy of the robe.
But whoever has purged of depravity (moral corruption), well-established in virtues and filled with self-control and truthfulness, s/he indeed is worthy of the yellow robe.
