5 Great Reasons to Never Give Up

Hi everybody, In the wake of a few difficulties of my own I thought I would write about some motivational stuff. Thanks for reading :)

1. It’s easy to find a reason to quit. But most "reasons" are just excuses. If you look, it's just as easy to find reasons to keep going. No successful person got where they are by taking the easy route and quitting.

2. When you quit, you send the message to other people and to yourself that you thought you couldn't do it in the first place. Keep going until you accomplish your goal; that will send the message that you knew you could do it. Then every time you try something you'll be less likely to quit and you'll accomplish a lot more.

3. Some people will be glad that you quit. Some will even rub it in, and say they knew you couldn't do it. Or they knew you would quit. Rather than proving your doubters right, get a little harmless revenge by proving them wrong.

4. You’ll never know what could have been if you'd kept going. Don't be the person who stopped digging and later found out he was only three feet from gold. Read the book Think And Grow Rich for more on that story.

5. Everything you do sets you up to form habits. If you keep going and form the habit of pushing through the difficult times to accomplish your goal then you form the habit of accomplishment. If you quit you create the habit of quitting and you'll never accomplish anything, unless it's easy, and few things worth having are easy.

Bonus #6 Being some one who accomplishes what they set out to do makes you feel a lot better than being a quitter. Quitting is bad for your confidence and self-esteem. Accomplishing anything no matter how small, always feels better than quitting. Once you become a quitter it's very difficult to change and become some one who really works towards their goals. Take it from me, I used to be a terrible quitter. Quitting is easy, but not at all rewarding.
