There are a number of handicaps you have self-imposed or had imposed on you by well-intentioned but often ignorant advocates. You must understand that not all actions or things are created equal. Some actions are more advantageous and the most advantageous is the one thing.
But let us first address this fallacy of everything matters equally in life*. One of the reasons for this unproductive belief is that we live in an age of information overload. Information is not only easy to access but it is force fed to us 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. And, it is getting worse with each new information innovation. Many have become information junkies and it is no wonder they have a hard time focusing on the one thing that can lead them to the success they desire.
The one most important thing for you to do by definition must be something that should consume your time and quite possibly an inordinate amount of it. Unfortunately, it seems like everywhere we turn we are told of a better way or try this. Following this path is like allowing someone to rob you of a prized possession, and willingly at that.
Once you decide on the one thing, you must follow the logical course of action to conclusion without wavering. While this may sound difficult at first, I assure you that once you understand the right question, it will be much easier to see the value.
The focus for success means everything is not equal, some actions are better than others. -Guy_Sellars
