Is it a curse or a bless? Or else neither?
What do you think?
Is it a bad thing to be doubtful?
First thing we would do is, jump right into its negative aspects. We eventually would doubt his/her sanity too.
Meaningless… Isn’t it?
Let’s, analyse this together.
FIRST CASE SCENARIO.
Is it just a trouble?
For this you have to answer a few questions, not out loud, but answer them honestly in your mind.
- Do you take people’s concern as priority, or yours?
- Do you prioritize your heart (emotions) than your mind?
- Do you admit the truth to yourself?
Now, discussing these questions further.
1. If you take people’s concern as your priority than you would always suppress your thoughts and shift them to other’s opinions.
Being social is must, but not at the cost of changing or transforming your own mind-set to match up the others.
Now, referring to the next question.
2. If you’re someone who gives importance to ‘heart’ then you’re an emotional personal.
It’s not a flaw…It’s definitely a good thing but being an emotional fool can be misleading.
WHY???
See…..Take it for an example…Logically speaking, our brain is called the Central Processing Organ of our body…It is the main controlling part and hence, it’s main work is to direct thoughts, intelligence, behavior and mostly everything we can think of.
Whereas
Our hearts are meant to purify blood…That’s it…!
It’s main work is to pump and purify the blood.
Then why do we say, ‘think from our heart’?
• Is it even rational?
Now, time for the last question…
3. If you’re someone who admits the truth to yourself…then cheers, you’re safe. I guess there are still a lot of people who can’t really admit the truth to themselves; neither do they accept that in front of others… May be they are afraid or even shy to accept who they actually are.
And somehow, I find these three behaviors co-related.
How…..?
Firstly, when we prioritize others’ opinions more than ourselves, then we are just being a follower.
Secondly, thinking from our heart just seems like a cliche.
And lastly, when we are skeptical about our individuality, then how can we expect to be certain with our decisions.
And for the most part, I guess these three people are more convenient to suffer from anxiety or similar issues.
SECOND CASE SCENARIO
Is it a good thing?
When we face trouble in giving surety or assurance in everything, It is certainly not a good thing though…but, if it is concerning you…your well being or even your health etc then, I believe it’s a good thing.
For instance – good and bad anxiety…over thinking isn’t always bad, is it?
For example – When you’re in a long term relationship and you still have commitment issues regarding the partner or the continuity of the relation or whatever, then I guess you’re being concern about yourself, which is a good thing, I believe.
In my case, I find it tough when it comes to ensuring some particular things like career, job, and settlement…
Just being immature, right?
But…hypothetically speaking…we all say that ‘the future is uncertain’ then I find no harm in having doubts and double checking the actions we take. I mean we don’t even know what’s gonna come up the next day.
For me it’s definitely not a good thing but it’s not a threat either.
I guess, now, I should sum up my crazy talks…But, lastly…
• What do you think, can be done to tame it..? Only if it bothers you…
Please write your opinions…I would love to know more.
Lastly, thank you everyone for going through my post…Have a great day.
**THANK YOU**
Hi @jeoleena, thanks for sharing this post.
The doubt is something natural in the human being and it is not bad to have doubts, it is even very important to think and evaluate well before taking a deision.
Blessings.

Dear @jeoleena.
Dilemma, I would call it ways of discerning to make a decision by doubt is not easy, however if I make it and it was not the best decision just learn and know that this path was not the right one.
I know it sounds easy to say but you put it into practice and I know you will give me the reason, life is full of those doubts but you will serve if you do not take them, or you will always be thinking which was the right one.
While you're wasting your time in making that decision.
Just take the risk.
I send you a very fraternal big hug from Venezuela where Venezuelans are constantly taking risks despite the doubts.

Thank you @lanzjoseg for your valuable time and advice..
I would completely agree with your opinion to take the risk and just go for it.. I believe Risk and Dilemma (uncertainty) are two sides of the same coin..
Love and blessings for Venezuela..
And a big thanks to you.. :)

Hellooo there @jeoleena!
Well, remember that many if not all (I'm not a psychologist) the problems we have internally originate from our upbringing, in the way we were raised.
How can we not put others before us, when as children we are taught: behave well, bathe, dress properly, do not cry! What will others say about you?
Then the opinion of others is above your own.
I try to put the reason on the decisions, but many times the emotions overcome, imagine that you are 2 hours in a queue and a person arrives to sneak a few posts more in front of you, obviously the reason is not going to impose; anger and fury appear and causes you to kill the person who does it. Or at least, mentally you think the person's gonna get hit by a truck or a bus.
The problem with truth is that you decide to create your own truth and we become blind to false expectations and live in our own bubble.
Dilemmas!
Tell me! Would you kill one person to save five? The dilemma where you drive a train whose way is to run over 5 people (usually children) but you have the option to change the route, but this new route the train will run over a good friend of yours. Choose.
I didn't invent this, it's a mental experiment initiated and devised by the British philosopher Philippa Foot
Thanks for sharing

Thanks @jadams2k18 for this intriguing reply..
To be honest, the intensity of your answers left me startled and speechless..
Especially, I loved the last part of it..
If I had to choose between the 5 children and 5 of my close friends................
haven't really thought about that but, If I really had to......with no other option....then may be.., I would save neither...
thanks
jeoleena.

There's no right answer. It all depends on a number of factors and conditions. Obviously, you can't stop doing anything, since the very fact of doing nothing would also kill people and obviously it is an option you would take.
Most people save all five people.
Another person, Judith Jarvis Thomson, decided to change the dilemma and got different answers. In this one, there is a train that is going to kill 5 people, but the difference is that you don't drive the train. The only way for you to save the 5 people is to push a fat guy who will fall on the track and derail the train. Obviously, you will be killing one person.
In this experiment most didn't dare push the fat one.
Will you?
Cheers

As you said earlier there's no right answer.. i think there's no right option shortlisted in the question too.. :)
Why would he (Judith Jarvis Thomson) give only one option where there could be altleast one alternative more to it..? Can't we just save those 5 by sliding a big stone, instead of a fat guy, infront of the train or by something else.. :)

Hello dear @jeoleena.
Have you thought that maybe these behaviors as you describe them can have their physiological roots? That is, our behavior before a dilemma may depend on some segregated endorphins lying around?
Or perhaps our own previous actions are what lead us to be stuck in a dilemma.
This narrative that you present to us, at least from my point of view, made me think of a mental state very similar to that achieved when you are "in love".
All best, Piotr.

Firstly thank you for checking out my post @crypto.piotr
To be honest..i am a true believer of psychology..it's immensly complex though a lot more interesting.. I believe the cause and the solution for everything, going in our life, somewhere lies within us..
Dilemma as i mentioned is not always bad..it has some positive points too..like being concerned about yourself first..
In my case, I seem to be more confused when it's concerning me..time changes and so thus people so predeciding evrything might lead to a more hopeless state, if things don't go the way we planned...
And so i think, being confused is natural..
I may not be expressing my vibes correctly but don't you think emotions like 'love' which is also a kinda endorphin (if am not wrong) is also a part of human brain?
As far as I see, there's no connection between love and heart.. :)
thanks
jeoleena :)

Scientists have spent many hours of their valuable time identifying the chemical processes that occur in the brain when we experience emotions.
Specifically about love there are clear studies. When people say they feel in love, in their brain they release some endorphins in particular.
Then they managed to conclude that "falling in love" is a chemical process.
From my side I think it is much more than that. These are extrasensory sensations that I do not believe that more experienced scientists can do a thesis about this.
Heart-love connection? Clear that it exists. But it will be very diicil to prove it. Although it is such a strong feeling that it is capable of moving mountains.
Regards appreciated @jeoleena.
