My entry for the Minecraft Lumberjack Cabin Build Competition on the /r/Minecraft subreddit.
Going for much more of a lumberyard cabin look here. It's not pretty. These guys are hard at work, they aren't here for comfort. The ground is torn up because of their work in the forest around them, and they've successfully managed to get the logs formed into a cabin and a crane to get through the job.
Raw materials in use here, no wood processing nearby, so they made-do with what they could. The logs are the same wood material as the forest around them. They caught a few nearby animals and popped them in with the horses so they could have food and milk through the long year. Lots of work for them ahead!
