Mining for dummies

in mining •  6 years ago

I guess many people are like me, interested in crypto mining but didn't get to do it due to one or more of the following:

  • Do not understand the technical stuff
  • Do not know how to set up, especially with command line stuff
  • Do not have the equipment to do it (many coins require special or very high end hardware to do it)
  • Do not have the hash power (yea there is mining pools, but again, how to join? haha)

So yea, for dummies like me, crypto mining is pretty fascinating but not something I could really do until I discovered honeyminer.

It is a simple program running on your PC, and allows you to use the existing CPU or GPU to participate in a pool of collective miners. The only thing I did was to download the program and install it. The simplest set up I have ever seen haha.

It is quite straightfoward and it is working for me since I started a few days ago. Quite importantly, my PC performance is not affected and it just runs quietly in the background. Of course it mines more and gets more rewards when the PC is idle with more spare resources :)

Yea I know the rewards are small, but for a fascinated dummy, I am really excited to give it a try and finally start my participation in mining.
