Currently bought a new laptop. Wiped my old HP Pavilion i7 laptop to original settings. Seems to be working as if the day I bought it besides one fan not working. Would it be profitable using the i7 to mine? If so, can anyone offer some solid direction. If not, can you explain why not. Helping Others To Help 1 By 1.

I too am fairly new to mining (less than 1 year experience) but based on my understanding, CPU does not mine very quickly. However, if you'd still like to try your hands on mining with your i7 CPU, I'd suggest Nicehash. You could you this (https://www.nicehash.com/?p=calc) to calculate the profitability and this (https://www.nicehash.com/?p=nhmintro) to download the Windows client and mine away... Hope this helps!
