Most profitable currency to mine with Nvidia hardware - Updated with link to mining tutorial

in mining •  7 years ago  (edited)

For awhile mining with any sort of Nvidia hardware was hard to make profitable compared to mining with the use of AMD cards primarily due to their memory bus being larger than Nvidia (for the most part) which made mining currencies like Ethereum and BTC much easier.

About 4 months ago I decided I would dip my toes into mining, but found it near impossible to acquire any AMD cards at a reasonable price. All I could find were Nvidia card with some great sales, so I decided to research various mineable cryptocurrencies.

After some initial research and trial with mining Siacoin, I came across LBC (Library Credits). LBC is incredibly easy to mine with Nvidia cards, with 1000MH/s earning you  $6.258 USD a day at the current price of LBC during posting. With my transfer to LBC from SC, I was able to increase my profits up to  20% a day.

One of the advantages to LBC is that it looks like it's going to have a promising future with solid gains both short-term and long-term, especially so given that the Open Beta was just released.

Started mining LBRY not too long ago, It just screams to me " the new youtube"

You mean 6 bucks per day?

Yes sorry I didn't notice that typo, $6.258USD a day was correct at the time I posted this.

Um, you guys use a point for a decimal separator right? :D

yes

Alternatively you could point your nVidia card at something like GPUGRID and potentially help cure cancer or AIDS. If you do, it can earn you #gridcoin as well.

If you want to stay with LBRY on your nVidia card, thats cool, but Gridcoin can also be profitably mined on a CPU as well, so why not get that extra bit of kick back while running your GPU by helping science to mathematical research, or desease research, or astronomy... and create some real value.

That is one option for sure, but when spending thousands of $ on mining rigs GRC will significantly raise your ROI. I do CPU mine Citizen Science Grid on my mining rigs so that the CPU doesn't sit idle.

CSG is a great project :)

Ugh, I like the idea and hate to brake your bubble but cures for cancers have been with us for more than a hundred years...

OK I will bite, what are these cures then?

There are a lot but most amazing was that I discovered that the technology of Royal Raymond Rife, the beam ray was replicated and people here in the Czech Republic make them. I've been helped but it is quite expensive per hour. It works really well. There are videos how it kills bacteria through resonance of the waves.

Royal Raymond Rife's story is fascinating.

I've also been diagnosed by a bioresonance device a Sensitiv Imago 530. I thought it must be a joke so I investigated it, the results that is, been on measurements for over 15 times. Spot on everytime. Shrugs

How to mine LBC and can you share profit details

Sure I'll write that up in another blog post today!

i will wait for it :)

Thanks for post

Great article
