Should I buy that miner? [ Newbie guide]

This is for those out there who just heard about a few days, week, or a month ago. I am gonna give you a straight answer.

No

Why no?
To be honest, I have been monitoring the prices of miners these past few moths and every possible miner you can buy out there have become too expensive. Yes, you heard that right. With antminers , avalon, and other miners get sold out; the price gets even higher. The influx of miners in the network had also an effect to the difficulty in mining.
A. What do you have to do then?
This is not a 100% proof advice because the market is unpredictable. Just hold on to your bitcoin or any cryptocurrency
that you have right now. Miners are the backbone of these currencies and if the prices get higher you can also profit.

If you want a yes answer. Let me give you first the trouble that you are placing yourself in. Maybe you are a risk junkie for all I know.

[ - : minus + : plus ]

  • overall cost of your miner
  • cost of electricity per month
  • cost for maintenance
  • projected profit everyday to a month compared to the rate of rise in difficulty

Like what I said earlier. Miners cost a shit ton amount of money right now. More costly miners means you would have to spend more days/months/year mining before you can get back your initial investment. As difficulty in mining rises, your miner gets more outdated and will give you less profit overtime. If there is a constant rate in the development of new and better miners, the more your current miner gets outdated and will bring you less mining profit.

Let me tell you this. There are more who profit from selling miners than the ones who actually want to mine themselves. The ones who 'first' bought the new mining technology were the ones who profited more. The first ones who bought a lot of the new miners and sold them 200% the original price were the ones who profited best. The ones who lured people into deception were the ones who profited best without spending a dollar.
