My second Mining Rig! 182 MH/s*! ๐Ÿ–ฅ๐Ÿš€๐Ÿ–ฅ๐Ÿš€

Hi! A while back I showed you my first rig a friend helped me set up. It was quite hard to get everything working just right, but in the end it worked!

After that experience, I set out to build a second rig with less help, using what I had learned.

Not wanting to leave it all on a table, I had some aluminium frames (such as those for glass displays) cut to certain lenghts and made a frames for my rigs! This is the finished product.

These are the boxes of some of the parts I used

I have my equipment in a small room with AC to help manage the temperature

Good chance to show off my Antminer

Now, the main attraction!

I will upload more pics soon of the process of putting together these babies! They each work between 180 and 185 MH/s ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ’ช

If you have any comments or advice, I'd love to hear it!

All votes, comments and resteems are highly appreciated! ;)

What are you mining? And how much do you pay for electricity ?

ย  ยท ย 7 years agoย

I am mining Eth and here in Paraguay we pay $0.05 per Mw/h :D

Wow, that is very cheap. When did you start to mine if I may ask ? I did it for a few month in Germany. But the electricity cost are to high to mine profitably. I am glad you still can do it. Enjoy your ETH :)

That's awesome @ramontorresps. I'm interested in mining myself yet I'm unsure where to start. Wondering should I invest in something already established and earning or building as you did. What are some true pros and cons of mining and if you don't mind sharing the information what did it cost to get going?

Sure, mining is great and is the backbone of crypto. Decentralization is key for the future of the blockchain. When you break it down in business terms, find out how much coin each gpu or mining ASIC will yield in it's lifespan and see if the cost is worth it. If you bought an Antminer (which on average yields 2 BTC in total) for $2.800, you will have bought 2 BTC for $1.400 each plus change for the electric bill.
