Nicehash Alternatives - Looking for ideas

So I am really bumbed that my youngest daughter and I bought duplicate mining rigs this Sunday and started mining crypto using the Nicehash miner. Imagine our distress as the miners shut down because Nicehash got hacked for $64M in bitcoin. Not much damage for us, about $5 total in bitcoin. OK, so we are doing small mining rigs to get a taste. Looking here to the Steemit community for recommendations on different alternatives to the Nicehash ming pool. The application interface with Nicehash was excellent for my novice daughter - all gui with no scripting language required.

Just looking for some encouragement. And yes, we should have done hardware wallets. But those get loaded once or twice a month. So still a hardware wallet would have not saved us from this "hack".

Do you think lightning strikes twice at the same mining pool? What are the implications if we stay for convenience? Is there an arbitrage play being part of a fewer miners? Just trying to wrap my mind around this and really provide good guidance to my 5 daughters, who all want to print their own money. At least they got the crypto bug now too..

Kryptex: https://www.kryptex.org/?ref=860fd2a7
Computta: https://computta.com/?ref=128955

Personally I would recommend Computta because it seems to use your computing power more efficient. But try out for yourself and make your own choice :)

thanks sleage will check out Computta..

Sounds exciting for a dad and daughter hobby. Congrats and I hope to follow in your footsteps when my kids are a little older and know what a computer is. I know many people give negative feedback on minergate, but I have only used that. Yet a lot of crytonote coins on minergate have now increase hash rates, almost 50% increase so I am assuming some of the nicehash users are moving over.

You can also start looking into bitcointalk.com where there is a ton of info regarding where to mine.

thanks mawit07, will check out bitcointalk.com. My daughter actually did her own research on this. Happy to see her really motivated. upvoted and followed

you always have great content

five344b, I am not sure about is best content. Just sharing my journey to abundance in the crypto and mining space. And the Steemit community is a true source of knowledge and support. Personally, I would like to think I will be around with mind intact and good health until I am 90. In the meantime, if my 5 daughters can put cashflow in their lives, regardless of day jobs, then they are on the path to abundance. Means I can pursue the bucket list, like tailgate my son-in-law football games around the US, Golf in all 50 states, donate my time and trade global markets all day long. Or just sleep.... wait and enjoy quality time with the Mrs too...
