“If we have sown [the good seed of] spiritual things in you, IS IT TOO MUCH IF WE REAP MATERIAL THINGS FROM YOU?"
1 Corinthians 9:11 (Amp.)

• Many receive God’s blessings without blessing the vessel which God has used to bless them.

  • If God has used someone, a minister of His, to bless you spiritually, it is your responsibility to bless the person back with material things.

“It pleased them indeed, and they are their debtors. FOR IF THE GENTILES HAVE BEEN PARTAKERS OF THEIR SPIRITUAL THINGS, THEIR DUTY IS ALSO TO MINISTER TO THEM IN MATERIAL THINGS.”
Romans 15:27 (NKJV)

  • The kingdom of God operates on principles. IF you violate the principles, you may not get the best of the Kingdom.
  • Giving is one of the Cardinal principles, most important principles of the Kingdom (Luke 6:38; John 3:16).
  • If you give to the vessel, the minister, whom God has used to bless you spiritually, your provoke heaven to bless you.
  1. “LET HIM WHO IS TAUGHT THE WORD SHARE IN ALL GOOD THINGS WITH HIM WHO TEACHES.
  2. Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; FOR WHATEVER A MAN SOWS, THAT HE WILL ALSO REAP."
    Galatians 6:6,7 (NKJV)

• A number of believers are not obedient to this spiritual principle; they are not faithful in supporting their pastors or ministers who has blessed them with spiritual things.

  • Some have denied their pastors or ministers whom God has used to bless them spiritually, their material things; thus, they give an opportunity to the devil to attack their finances or blessings.
  • The Lord has commanded that those who preach the gospel should live from the gospel (1 Corinthians 9:13,14).
  1. “Do you not know that those who minister the holy things eat of the things of the temple, and those who serve at the altar partake of the offerings of the altar?
  2. EVEN SO THE LORD HAS COMMANDED THAT THOSE WHO PREACH THE GOSPEL SHOULD LIVE FROM THE GOSPEL.”
    1 Corinthians 9:13,14 (NKJV)

• Take note: If you are inspired by God to do or give something to a minister of God, but you pretended not to have heard from God, you ignored the nudging by the Holy Spirit—it might lead to a problem, cause you to suffer or be affected with something unpleasant.

  • Also, if you collected something from a minister of God which was not willingly given to you by him or her, you deceived or cajoled him or her to do it or give it to you; it can lead to a problem—cause you to suffer, be affected by something unpleasant.
  • Taking what belongs to a minister of God or having what should have been given to a minister of God in your custody could bring sufferings and hardships on you.
THE item or property could become a snare to you.
  • Any gift, material thing, that belongs to a minister, or ought to be given to a minister, in your custody, could bring problems in your home, business, or whatever—it could pollute your blessings.
  • If you deny your pastor or a minister what belongs to him or her, or should be given to him or her, such may not talk or ask, but God will demand it from you.
  • You are undoing your blessings if you are denying your pastor or any minister, that God may have used or is using to bless you, your material things (Philippians 4:14-19).

• Many believers out of greed and callousness have put themselves in problems and hardships because they lacked the Bible sense on how to relate with their pastors or ministers whom God has used to bless them.

  • If you lacked the Bible sense, lacked understanding of spiritual principles, on how to relate with your pastor or prophet, you will be wasting your blessings—short-circuiting the flow of your blessings.
  • A number of believers are collecting blessings with one hand and throwing the blessings away with the second hand.
  • If your heart is not right or you have a feeling of animosity towards your Pastor or a minister who ministers to you, the prayer pronounced on you by such may not be honoured by God.
  • If you are angry with a minister of God, the anointing on him or her cannot bless you!

• God’s ministers are agents of God’s blessings.

  • The blessing you need is in the mouth of the pastor or minister God has ordained to bless you—the ones who carry the anointing for your breakthroughs.

"By a prophet the LORD brought Israel out of Egypt, and by a prophet he was preserved."
Hosea 12:13 (NKJV)

  • Do not despise your pastor or whichever minister God is using to minister spiritual things to you.
  • Do not deny them your material things nor speak ill of them, that is, do not badmouth them.
  • Your pastor or any ministers who are ministering spiritual things to you are God’s representatives, God’s delegated authorities, in your life.
  • When you take care of God’s ministers who are assigned to bless you, God will honour you and bless the work of your hands.

• God has principles, and you have to follow His principles, if you actually want to walk with Him.

  • God is not sentimental, He works with principles, and He will not bend his rules, principles, nor compromise His stand because of anyone.
  • If you do not understand His principles, or you are not ready to walk in agreement with His principles, you will be undoing yourself.

• When you take care of God’s ministers, God takes it personally and He blesses you back in multiple folds.

  • Apostle Paul has this to say about the Philippians:
  1. "Nevertheless you have done well that YOU SHARED IN MY DISTRESS.
  2. NOT THAT I SEEK THE GIFT, BUT I SEEK THE FRUIT THAT ABOUNDS TO YOUR ACCOUNT.
  3. AND MY GOD SHALL SUPPLY ALL YOUR NEED ACCORDING TO HIS RICHES IN GLORY BY CHRIST JESUS."
    Philippians 4:14,17,19 (NKJV)

• You will not fail in Jesus’ name.
