New Way To Find Users.
@paulag does really good things with the Redfish Power Up League and it's easy to find active and awesome users, (as in-depth details are shared within her Redfish reports). Due to this, the Minnow-ASAP project will start to pick users straight from the Redfish league instead of manually trying to check hundreds of different userprofiles. This makes it easier for the Minnow-ASAP project to find good candidates who're eligible a push, and it should reduce any potential downtime between each Minnow-ASAP push in the future.
Our last push worked out great and I'll look for 5 users for this next push. The next push is set to start no later than 2019-05-01. There are a handful reasons for this downtime, but two of the most deciding factors are:
- The lack of nominations and eligible users.
- An ongoing discussion regarding the future of Minnow-ASAP.
Like I have said before, my aim is to close the gap between Redfish and Minnows. I want Minnow-ASAP to be the bridge that connects Redfish with Minnows. I am constantly looking for ways to improve the project and to speed up the entire process from Redfish to Minnow, and I might be on to something...
You see, I want to grow on STEEM, but I don't mind doing something for others. In fact, I want to do something for others. Even if it costs me. But, I am not willing to go to the end of the world, or in this case, to a stake of zero.
I am currently looking for Steem Power delegations, and I might be on to something. If I grow, you grow. But, I am totally fine with not growing rapidly. I am here for the long haul so the most important part to me, is that the middle class on STEEM grows rapidly. That's my goal. That's the goal with Minnow-ASAP.
There will be news and changes in the near future, perhaps in just a day. It's too early to say anything right now, but what I can say, is that we all will benefit from it. Now and later.
Feel free to nominate any of the users in the Redfish Power UP League. This makes it easier to make a decision. The thing that matters the most is that people must have less than 450 SP.
That being said...
You might find some odd "eggs" in your wallet shortly, as the "Minnow-ASAP-Bunny" celebrates easter on STEEM. These "eggs" might appear at anytime until the launch of the second Minnow-ASAP push.
The prizes from the "3 simple tasks" will be sent shortly, and a new 3 simple tasks-post will appear in a few days. (A good way for anyone to collect some free STEEM.)

I Know This Is The Wrong Place:
I am looking to buy STEEM through PayPal. I have about $100 USD. I can go first. No worries. You pay the fee, (as it's the cheapest way), and you transfer STEEM equivalent to the amount of USD you got after the fees have been paid. Yeah, trust is key, so no beggars or users without some sort of rep. Find me on Discord: [EviLDoLLTV#9035].
Fantastic that you are going to pick from the league, I will mention it in the next post so people will know they are being watched :-)
I have a nomination @sparksey43
Also can you remind me, do you have a lower limit on the sp they must have?

That would be great! No lower limit, but I'd obviously prefer to see users with ~400 SP, as the "push" period is limited to 14 days. I figured that we would have the most impact going with ~400 SP people... But I don't want to exclude anyone, so if we have some super-awesome people with less SP than that, I'm all for it.
The more SP they have, the easier it would be to push them.

I'm all in favor of your initiatives, as well as all the general Let's build a bigger Steem Middle Class initiatives out there.
I am also here for the long run. I believe one of the things we need to seriously consider is that before we worry too much about onboarding a whole lot of new people from the "outside," we need to have our own house in good order... and that perhaps does mean having 10,000 Minnows ready and waiting to help be a sort of "welcome wagon" for the new people coming in.
In a sense, we lost a valuable resource — which could have worked well in tandem with the minnow projects — with the demise of @newbieresteemday and #newbiecontests. I was fortunate to start my days here under the "wings" of both @simplymike and @davemccoy and got started very fast thanks to their help... because of the initiatives they had running. Mike is still around, but Dave got sucked into some flag war and went off to focus on SteemMonsters instead.
My point here, though, being to imagine if we had 100's/1,000's of minnows standing by to each take maybe 2-3 newbies under their wing in a sort of community mentorship program.
We still have something great here... and the basic structure is that you can actually help yourself by helping others.

Cool that you're keeping this up. I really like the 'easter egg'-idea!
I came to SteemIt to grow my account, of course. But the main reason for making my account grow faster than initially intended was the idea that the bigger my account was, the more people I could help out.
Still, I'm not prepared to do the same I see others do - delegating all their SP and keeping less than 500 for themselves. I delegate gradually, in bits and pieces and not even 50% of what I have.
That reminds me that I really need to get out there again, looking for promising newcomers, and checking up on the ones I delegated to these last couple of weeks. Lol - I simply don't have time to write a decent post :0)

This is the exact idea I've had myself, but I am not willing to succumb for greed, and that is why I'm just doing some small "experiments" right now. I sell a couple of votes here and there, just to see what type of results I get, and everything I earn is basically just invested into the gambling dApps, as my goal is to establish a passive income.
That being said, I am not willing to sell votes instead of manually curating, and I have too much fun giving, so I just can't take and keep for myself. I don't work like that. But, I do want to grow my account, because like you said, the bigger I get, the more I can help.

I think using the Redfish Power Up League is a great idea! I really appreciated being part of the first minnow-asap group and I hope the project continues! Thanks for all you are doing!
P.S. Those chocolate Cadbury Easter eggs with the hard candy shell are my absolute favorite Easter candy! :)

I think it is great that we collaborate with other projects to leverage these efforts as they have following that are interested in growing and we can all help!
