Assignment Four: 8 Crypto terms explained.

I will attempt to explain eight crypto terms today for Minnow Boot Camp by using a post from @heyimsnuffles who has a channel on our discord The Dynamic Steemians
focusing primarily on Cryptocurrencies. First post I will be using, is his post titled CRYPTO CARNAGE is Imminent

I am in the top 10% of those on social platforms that have been talking about this bitcoin puke that has needed to happen for weeks. I’m sick and tired of seeing the Elliot Wave analysis, the falling wedge analysis, the held Support analysis, that doesn’t mean shit in the real market world.
Everyone is a genius in a bull market. Bears are much harder.
You really wanna know the chance Bitcoin and Crypto has bottomed? I will tell you it is pretty much 0%.

In @heyimsnuffles post, you can see 7 terms right off the bat.

  1. (Bitcoin) puke
  2. Elliot Wave analysis
  3. Falling wedge analysis
  4. Held Support analysis
  5. Bullmarket
  6. Bears
  7. Bottomed
  8. Hodl

1 (Bitcoin) puke

  • This is when investors of a currency sell in a down market, for a loss resulting in dramatic price drops of said currency.

2 Elliot Wave Analysis

  • This a way analysing a currency. This method employs a graph now popular in the Crypto world. This is where you find the terms triangles, crosses and stars when they overlay different Elliot Wave graphs over each other. Ralph Elliott created the Elliott Wave Theory in the late 1920s leading to the term Elliot Wave Analysis.

3 Falling Wedge Analysis

  • A term used to describe the declining price of currency being represented on a graph, that is usually identifiable by a 'falling' or 'upside down' triangle that is formed by the line on the graph to represent price fluctuations.

4 Held Support Analysis

  • a review of a currencies support levels from investors who will not sell their stake or currency no matter how volatile a market is. This where the term hodl generally comes from.

8 Hodl

  • The most commonly used crypto term. It means as an investor you will hold or 'hodl' your investments for the long term even in a down market or up market.
