To Resteem or not to Resteem.
Resteems can be very beneficial for your Steem posts that are on the Steemit.com site. A Resteem is when your post is shared by another Steem user on Steemit.com. An icon with a 'c' arrow, usually on the bottom right of your post, will signify what to select when you want to Resteem another Steemit users post.
Resteems can be taboo. Most veteran Steemit users will be hesitant to purchase a resteem from a 'bot' or 'resteem' accounts. It's more exciting to get a resteem from an account who is 'actively' posting and engaging on steemit. I truly have seen more of a benefit from Resteems in this way.
@underground will suggest that you resteem before posting your own post because it will trump your post otherwise. Typically, its prefered to have your personal posts on top of posts you have resteemed like this:
In the above screenshot, you will see that I have made my posts priority over my resteems. Now since I have an account with 2400+ people that reflects a top percentile with people following my account on Steemit (https://steemwhales.com/steemit can give you a good idea of how many followers top follower accounts have.), I love resteeming people and often will not put into account, my own personal posts when resteeming. Really it's about strategy and what your objectives are when buying or doing a resteem for another users Steemit post or your own.
What if a Steemit users account is flooded with resteems? Well, just go to steemworld.org/@(yourSteemitname). Steemworld does not display resteems with your Steem posts like Steemit.com does.
Just remember asking for resteems is frowned upon as well as asking for votes and comments!
