Minnows Bible #10 - How to earn more curation rewards and grow your Steem Power.

I believe you already know the importance of Steem Power. On Steemit, Steem Power is everything. It determines to a very large extent how big or small you author reward will be (if you see nothing wrong in upvoting your own posts), the curation you will get from upvoting other people's post, the followers you will get and your reputation.

There are different ways to grow your SP, from buying Steem Power with your steem/SBD to using voting bots (this is only real profitable thing about using voting bots). Increasing your SP organically through curation is a good way of building up your steem power.

Curation reward is the SP you get from 'discovering' other people's posts. In another words, you get rewarded by SP anytime you upvote a post at the right time. According to the FAQ, 20 something minutes is a good time to upvote while after 30 minutes is the best time to upvote to get a good curation reward.

Now that we know the best time to upvote, it will be an extra task refreshing the feed or new section trying to keep tap on new posts and when to upvote their posts. This is where @steemauto created by @mahdiyari comes handy.

There are authors that always produce valuable contents and also get good rewards from their posts or friends we can't just help but upvote them. You simply go to steemauto website to sign up and then add your favourite authors to your 'fanbase'.

You can set the time you want to upvote a particular author and the voting weight you want to allocate to this author. Bear it mind, the auto vote bot will continue to upvote the authors you input in it regardless of the number of times they post in a day.

You must however be careful by giving attention to the number of author you add to your fanbase, the number of times they post in a day and to set the voting weight you allocate to each authors accordingly.
Also you can put a limit on your voting weight, all auto voting will be stopped when your voting weight gets to that limit.

All these precautions are necessary to avoid draining your voting weights fast. If you used steemauto right and get your settings correct as explained in this tutorial, your curation rewards which is in Steem Power will increase considerably.
