Thanks for featuring these channels on your blog. In many ways, I think it may be the only viable way for a minnow to build a following large enough or something bigger. I have upvoted this post and will feature it on my daily hidden gems blog post. Thanks for the content.

I too have followed you and hope you follow back. This is silly that we even have to do this when we need to be paid for our post and not begging whales for votes.
Something needs to change or lots of good content will be posted elsewhere. Mark my words, folks will take off because they take time to post, and get nothing for it.

@codymac40, I have started following you as well. My focus is on building up my 1,000 true fans more than it is about attempting to influence whales to vote for me. Once you have a base of 1,000 fairly regular votes, the whales will upvote you simply in their own self interest because the curation rewards they will miss will be significant.

In my mind, I really have no issue with whales housing a majority of the voting power. It's the idea that the downvote takes earnings away from an individual I have a huge issue with. Once one person decides to pay for content with an upvote and a piece of the inflationary reward, another should not have the power to take away. In many ways, this will handle the reward reduction problem as a larger pool of authors are rewarded with the same pool of rewards. It would encourage developing a pool of followers with some whales as opposed to trying to become Ahab searching for Moby Dick's attention.

I think the other piece should be that voting power should dilute on on inverse exponential curve with each successive vote in a 30 minute period (e to the -x power). This way it will encourage people (and those with whalebots) to truly focus on the content they feel will pop as opposed to the current mess.

Just my $0.02.

Thanks for posting -- minnows are people too! :)
I'll be joining the swarm.

That's a great initiative from @endgame....helping each other is the way to go :-)
