The real way to become respected in SteemIT (newbie friendly advice)

Hello all young, inexperienced and newcame users of SteamIT.

You all came here because one way or another you realized that this is a platform in which you can get a financial prize for your work.

Yes ... this is true, but it depends entirely on a few key factors. These are the opportunities you have to create interesting and quality articles and especially luck.

The situation here is called ELO HELL and is exactly the same as the League of Legends / DOTA 2 or any MOBA game.

What exactly does this mean?

When you are new you are in the same pool with everyone else that started with you but all the rest of old players but not talented enough to develop and build reputation and steem power.

And no matter how talented you can get out of this hell, it's really hard if you're not lucky, sometimes impossible.

There are usually two solutions to the problem - to be a non-buddy and to play the game as long as it takes until one day you finally get off the pool of low quality productivity and finally you find people at your level with similar interests and ideals.

Finally, be really noticed.

The other option is to find one or several acquaintances, mentors, or just people with a good soul who believe that you have the potential and with their steem power support help you gain enough reputation.

But I want to say that I am talking about a well-deserved reputation ... not just a dole.

People make a major mistake.

They start writing and harassing the whales here, but things just do not work as they did in the real world and in the MOBA games, especially here at SteemIT.

Things can only happen step by step, and one step up.

You can not start as a labourer somewhere, and go to the company's SEO to explain to him how good you are and how he needs to pour money into you and trust you.

It is impossible.

Or in the MOBA game of writing to a diamond player or whatever is the highest rank in the game, start playing with you to help you get to the diamond league faster.

It's just impossible.

You have to start doing your job first, doing it well, and hoping that your supervisor will notice it. So you can get promotion. Continue doing your job so well that your new boss, who is a bit higher in the hierarchy and so ... until one day, you can be spotted by the company's SEO.

SteemIT can be viewed in the same way as a huge corporation or as a very competitive game with a large community.

If you believe in yourself and you really have some talent to attract the attention of people with quality stories, then you need to arm yourself with a lot of patience, work hard and hope for your luck someone to see you from the more respected steemers here.

Or if you have to talk in SteemIT of the termology ... as long as your minnow will stay in ELOHELL until you get enough attention on yourself and your work from the dolphins ... when you collect enough critical mass of dolphins you will see that at some point you will start To be spotted by whales.

And you will reach them in the right way, you will deserve their respect, and you will feel like a truly successful person who has entered perfectly into our SteemIT society.

Respect yourself and the time of others

Nailed it with the league of legends analogy man, thank you for the post it sums up the reality of newcomers like me. p.s. If anyone wants to carry me out of steemit elo hell I will be his loyal upvoting support for ever :P (creepy humor)

It would be too good, but it is unlikely to happen :)

It's just my point of view how I see the situation here.

I'm glad It likes you, too

You have been upvoted by the xx_Votes_Plus trail! Want more earnings? Follow @dropahead in Streemian https://streemian.com/profile/curationtrail/trailing/396 and/or fund @dropahead with more STEEM POWER! Keep steeming!

So what you're saying is hard work pays off. Damnit, I was hoping for a cheat code.

Maybe there is a short way ... I'm sure there are niches for which to write and shoot you fast forward ... but I have no idea what they are.

Still, you have to write about something that's both interesting and important to you, not just looking for a quick profit, because if something is done falsely is felt by readers

The elo hell is an analogy that fits the state of many of us quite well. Similar to MOBAs it is your endurance and effort that gets you out of elo hell. So let's keep on posting and bringing good content.

That's our main goal here :)

Congratulations on your growing success here.
I, too, noticed some parallels to certain game playing. And liked the experience to the game Clash of Clans in a post from over 16 hours ago called "My Upvote's Run Out of Gas" - Observations of the Hard Fork & Maximizing Our Affectability (A Red Fish's Point of View) (which is getting very little attention or exposure, so frustrating being a Red Fish under the shadow of the Minnows, Dolphins, and Whales).
In trying to figure out what you are doing right I am failing in pinning down what I am doing wrong!
So often I see others posting content similar to mine hours and even days after my post, and yet I can't seem to draw the same attention they do.
It's frustrating, but I am not giving up. I prefer to put the community before the profits (while not entirely ignoring the potential for said profits, I need a new PC to create better content- right now I am creating a GIF to post soon, and my laptop sounds like it is launching to the moon and is hot enough to cook an egg on).

I like the paralleI with games too but really hope to see soon solution for the old content because some of it is worthy and useful or has potential but it was ignored in the moment of publishing.

I'm thinking a lot about that... I have some ideas and probably I will share my thoughts later

Well written! :)

Thanks buddy

Good stuff :) Will resteem it.

Ty Gabi :)

this sounds like all dysfunctional American fascist Corporation.
I think steemit advertise themselves as non sensors a free enterprise which is allowed everybody Express opinion no matter what but if somebody wants only express their opinions and shot everybody else and be rewarded for that then that's Enterprise it's not for Liberal people. Free Enterprice do not REGULATED. What are you saying is sounds to me like pavlovian dog was rewarded for a good behavior.

As I said that's my point of view.

Everyone has their own opinion and I respect yours

Likewise

I have been here for a week and have been doing exactly what you said for the past three days. Writing my best content, connecting with people, commenting, asking for advice, teaching what I am learning and once in a while I get a post that does well. It is a roller coaster ride, but my followers keep increasing, my post keeep making more on average and my upvote averages increase every day. Thanks for sharing!

Yeah Bruno... Im pretty sure our wave of newcommers will make great community here and we will support each other in future

YAY! :)

The last part of post you're repeating. The second to last paragraph. It may be by chance.
It is a good post and a valid point. However I believe that a lot of people just want to find a shortcut and use that route if possible.
I'm here to stay and see what step by step progress means. :)

Fast work always leads to failure :)

Step by step to success

I know, that is true. I know what interests me and I follow those topics closely, more and more with every passing day and as much as my spare time allows me. I also know my strengths, what I enjoy doing and I put that sort of content for others to see. I do my best and I'm here for the long run.

Realy like the analogy whit the moba game it realy help understand the mechanics.

It sounds very similar, right ? :)

Cheers
