People think I’m anti-job so I’m going to help those of you that want a great paying job out of college.
Pay close attention.
Step 1:
Set your goal and intention. How much money do you want to make?
Step 2:
Choose your major wisely. If you want to make 60k
Right out of college then don’t choose Underwater Basket Weaving as a major. Shoot for something that’s going to pay well for less work.
I literally changed my major 3 times before graduating because I wanted the bag!
Step 3:
Be proactive. Search for paid internships and create your resume early (at least 2 years before graduation)
Step 4:
Manifest the income you want. Literally tell yourself and your friends & family you already have the job and you’re already making x amount of dollars
Step 5:
Learn how to interview.
My resume was straight trash.
I had barely any experience. I was a college football player, so what did I do?
I connected football to the job I was interviewing for. It worked every time.
Most interviewers don’t want someone boring that’s pretending to be perfect.
If they’re interviewing 30 people you want to impress them.
How do you impress them?
You compare whatever special thing you’ve done in life to the job you’re applying for.
I’ve been told by every top level manager that companies look to hire people that they can stand to go have a beer with.
Don’t be boring and robotic in your interviews.
If you’ve worked at sonic and that’s the only thing on your resume then
Tell them that you learned how to do every job at sonic because you feel like in order for a company to run efficiently the top level managers must know every part of the business and how to coordinate.
Tell them you’re applying for X position but you want to
Get experience with every part of the company so you can grow and become great at what you do.
If you take these steps and apply them you’ll get every job you apply for I guarantee it.
