Anti-Abuse Team Weekly Report #37

Happy Memorial Day for my fellow USA people. Despite the holiday weekend making this update a bit late, I figured I can post while I try and relax and recover from the parties. Our background work on the upcoming change continues, driving up the Blacklist numbers by quite a bit. I can't wait to release more info about what we are doing, it's going to be great.

The details of this weeks prune of the member-list -

• 19784 Members before this week's prune was run. (542 new accounts since last week)
• 30 Day Prune has removed 207 dead accounts. (107 less were removed this Prune.)
• This leaves our count at 19577 Members after the prune.
• ~1200 Peak Concurrent users this week. (When you remove a bunch of abusers, there are less people idling in the server.)

Updated stats on Bans and Blacklist -

• 4073 Discord bans (+264 new from previous)
• 5314 accounts in total are now Blacklisted by @minnowsupport (+661 from previous!)

This shows the trend of members gained over time. I use the number of users counted after each purge each week.

Blacklist Counts by Type:

This gives a breakdown of the major categories we list an account under in our Blacklist.

I really am going to have to figure out what to do once we finish all this groundwork and there are far less reasons for an update each week...

A quick review of things that get you blacklisted:

• A single image or even multiple images, with very little text or only a basic bit of information with it.
• An embedded YouTube or DTube video with zero additions to the post that provide value.
• Attempting to gain multiple upvotes outside our 1 per cool-down by any means.
• Any major violation of our community guidelines and rules. (This usually has to do with treatment of other users on the platform.)

Not all of these result in a ban from Discord since we want you to learn and improve.
