The spiritual mission of the wise: Rescue those being led away to death; hold back those staggering toward slaughter. Proverbs 24:11

In the sapiential books of the Bible, such as the Book of Proverbs, the wise man has a spiritual mission, to fight against oppression and face fury.
Because in a world where selfishness prevails, mercy (compassion, kindness, gentleness) becomes scarce, and it is the wise man, that is, the man of integrity, the person in charge through his leadership of putting things in order, because as the theologian Thomas Aquinas taught, no one is corrupted in the hands of a wise man.
Wisdom is a grace, a charisma, a spiritual gift that God grants to men to carry out his kingdom, his dominion on earth. Wisdom is the opposite of ignorance and the bad love.
And an example of this was King Solomon, who, being wise, inspired his nation, instructed his people with the most important knowledge, and established a government that defended justice, and a demonstration of this justice was the case of the two prostitutes (1 Kings 3:16-28), where the king with his wisdom was able to find the true mother of a child whose life was disputed between two women. The reign of this wise man was synthesized in the Bible in an expression that alludes to happiness: "During Solomon's lifetime Judah and Israel, from Dan to Beersheba, lived in safety, everyone under their own vine and under their own fig tree" 1 King 4:25.
For all this, the Book of Proverbs leaves valuable advice to all those who fear God in their hearts, God in his wisdom rejects death, oppression, and suffering:
"Rescue those being led away to death;
hold back those staggering toward slaughter
If you say, ´But we knew nothing about this,´
does not he who weighs the heart perceive it?
Does not he who guards your life know it?
Will he not repay everyone according to what they have done?" Proverbs 24:11-12.
The gifts of wisdom and fear of God (constancy, firmness, devotion) as taught by the Book of Proverbs are a commitment to goodness and to God's providential designs.
