SpaceX has successfully launched the Bangabandhu-1 satellite to GTO atop the newly Falcon 9 Block 5 version of the rocket. Liftoff occurred at 4:14 p.m. EDT (20:14 GMT) from LC-39A - Launch Complex 39A at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center on 11 May 2018. On this mission SpaceX has flown the Falcon 9 Block 5 which is an upgrade to the Falcon 9 rocket capable of 10 or more flights with rapid reusability and extremely high reliability. Following stage separation the Falcon 9 Block 5 first stage has successfully landed on the drone ship OCISLY - "Of Course I Still Love You” stationed in the Atlantic Ocean.
