Mining on a laptop ( A guide for beginners)

New to crypto world? Wanting to seek advice about mining cryptocurrencies on a laptop from ONLINE experts?
Well if you ask online experts about it, you are bound to experience a long roller coaster in a NOPE land.

BUT NOT HERE. I AM GONNA GUIDE YOU THROUGH MINING ON LAPTOP BY MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE.

Online community will discourage you about mining on a laptop saying it is not profitable right now.

They are right about it in one aspect. If you are mining for an immediate profit and wanna make couple of bucks per day, IT IS SIMPLY NOT POSSIBLE.

Mining currently profitable coins for hodling is not profitable. For example if you want to mine DASH on an i7 laptop, you will earn .01 DASH in a year worth of 11$ which is not worth the effort.

So the key for laptop mining is

not mine for PRESENTLY profitable coin, mine for the FUTURE profitable coin and you will be having profit in a long term.

Choose a coin with low difficulty and low price, mine it, store it in a wallet and forget about it.
When that coin goes to moon, you will profit from it.

(You can calculate which coin is best according to your laptop on whattomine.com by putting relevant values about your hardware) .

There is also risk of that coin's price not increasing but that's the risk you have to accept if you want to mine on a laptop.

MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE: I am currently mining various low price coins on an i7 laptop with approx 80h/s and earning about .3 - .5 $.
I know it is not much.
But when these coin's price increases, i will be making profits by simply putting my laptop to use.

If you want to mine on laptop but can not select which coin to choose or how to set up miners?

Well you are in luck. I am starting a series of blog posts about mining various coins and how to setup their miners.
