Mistletoe is a Christmas staple, but what is it and why do people kiss underneath it?
Did you know that the tradition of hanging it in the house goes back to the times of the ancient Druids?

It is supposed to possess mystical powers which bring good luck to the household .Celts and Norse people believed that there is something mystical about the plant as the sprigs stayed green in winter even when the tree has lost its leaves.
For centuries, mistletoe has been considered a plant that increases life and fertility.

It was also used as a sign of love and friendship in Norse mythology and that's where the custom of kissing under Mistletoe comes from.Mistletoe traditions have certainly evolved over time;)
Kissing under the mistletoe was first referred to in late 18th century England.

I took photo of this one and is in my house now.
I am ready for kisses and love to share with my family members, but I am sending kisses to all my dear Steamians to.
Love you all!
Big kiss from @olegw
