The National League will be in the spotlight this Thursday for the first Division Series games of the 2019 MLB Playoffs. First up will be the 91-71 St. Louis Cardinals visiting the 97-65 Atlanta Braves; TBS has the coverage from SunTrust Park at 5:02 PM ET.

The starting pitchers also have yet to be officially announced for either team. It’s believed Atlanta will go with Dallas Keuchel (3.75 ERA), who pitched very well for the Braves after signing a one-year deal in June. Keuchel didn’t get much help from his teammates, though.
Providing just 3.84 runs of support per game, the Braves went 10-9 in Keuchel’s starts with the UNDER at 15-3-1. After winning the NL Central on the final day of the regular season, St. Louis may be leaning towards veteran Adam Wainwright (4.19 ERA), who pitched on Saturday and would be on normal rest come Thursday.
This year’s Ace for the Cards, Jack Flaherty (2.75 ERA), pitched the season finale on Sunday, while Dakota Hudson (3.35 ERA) is also in the mix to start.
MLB Odds: Braves Host Cards for NLDS Game 1
It’s just like old times in the National League East. For the second straight year, the Atlanta Braves are division champions; they’ll host the NL Central-winning St. Louis Cardinals in Thursday’s NL Division Series opener, beginning at 5:02 PM ET on TBS.
Nothing’s official at press time, but it’s believed the Braves will send Dallas Keuchel (3.75 ERA) to the mound on Thursday, hoping he’ll duplicate his success with the 2017 champion Houston Astros.
The Cardinals may wind up responding with veteran Adam Wainwright (4.19 ERA), although they could go with ace Jack Flaherty (2.75 ERA) on short rest.
