The Toronto Blue Jays are seeing what their future looks like, and the future is exciting. After promoting Bo Bichette to the Bigs over the weekend, a move that reunited the shortstop with Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Cavan Biggio, the Jays went on to seize a series victory from the Kansas City Royals – a rare occurrence this season. Toronto is now heading to Baltimore to take on the Orioles for a four-game series beginning this Thursday. This will be a great opportunity to capitalize on some momentum gained against the Royals and to beat up on an O’s team that has won just 36 games all season.

While it may be mostly doom and gloom for Baltimore this year, they may have found a sliver of hope with the recent performance of starter Asher Wojciechowski. Acquired from Cleveland at the beginning of July, the righty has thrown two straight games of at least seven innings, including a one-hit, 10 strikeout game two starts ago. He’ll get the nod for the first game against Toronto.
The Jays will counter will Ryan Borucki, who was recently reinstated from the 60-day IL. It’ll take Borucki some time to regain his form following the layoff, but he’s another young player the Jays are hoping will be part of their future. Tune in for the 7:05 PM ET start.
