Josh Emmett versus Mirsad Bektic UFC Fight Night Sacramento

145 pounds.

Emmett is a fighter who has surprised me many times before. Like versus Ricardo Lamas and Michael Johnson.

Bektic is a very good fighter still trying to gather some more wins with bigger names attached to his name. He did defeat Ricardo Lamas in his last fight.

This is a pretty important fight in the featherweight division overall. Both fighters are very well rounded. I would say Emmett is a bit more powerful and perhaps Bektic a bit more athletic. But otherwise these guys are somewhat similar I would say. I'm excited to see how this plays out.

If i would have to pick I think Emmett would pull this one out, we shall see.

These dudes look identical. Size, style, stance. All eerily similar.

Trading and reading, feinting. Zero grappling.

All of a sudden BANG Bektic gets dropped with a perfect jab and then Emmett just swarmed him viciously and consistently. Bektic held on for a minute, he didn't just quit by any means. But in the end the ground and pound was too much.

Emmett stops Bektic by knockout in Round one. I got this one right this time!

Another hometown win for a fighter, as Emmett is from Sacramento. His status has definitely risen at 145 pounds.
